For most of my life, I struggled with Christianity. I always had questions, doubts, and a lot of hurt that I carried with me. Growing up wasn’t easy. My dad struggled with alcoholism, and that left a lot of pain and confusion in my life. Because of that, I never really understood what a real relationship with God was supposed to look like.
When I first saw the Living Water Cruise, if I’m being honest, I mainly thought it would just be a great chance to travel and spend time with other young adults. I didn’t realize God had something much bigger planned for me.
From the very first pre-cruise service, something inside of me started to shift.
The message spoke directly to my heart in a way I had never experienced before. In that moment, I had a feeling that this week was going to be different — that something in my life was about to change. Once we boarded the cruise, everything kept confirming that feeling.
What started as sitting at a dinner table with complete strangers quickly turned into genuine friendships and fellowship I will never forget. The worship services were powerful. You could truly feel the presence of God moving.
Every workshop was incredible, but the addictions workshop impacted me the most. For the first time in my life, I felt like I was finally getting real answers to questions I had carried for years. It felt like God was meeting me exactly where I was, speaking directly into the struggles and pain I had been holding onto for so long.
During that cruise, I gave my life to Jesus and got saved. It was one of the most powerful moments of my life. Since then, it feels like God has been moving quickly in my life, bringing clarity, peace, and answers that I never thought I would have.
What I thought was just going to be a trip ended up becoming the moment my life changed forever.
I boarded that ship thinking it was just going to be a vacation. But I walked off with a new life.
